The objective of The Guild Of Master Craftsmen is to promote high standards of quality and service, and to enable the public to make an informed choice when choosing a tradesman.

Quality and Service

Membership is only available to those companies who can demonstrate that they consistently achieve high standards and are therefore eligible to receive the Guild’s prestigious ‘Certificate of Quality and Service’.

All Applications for membership undergo The Guild’s rigorous assessment procedure. References are obtained from previous customers and these have to be of a sufficiently high standard before membership is granted. Members are also monitored on an ongoing basis.

Every member of The Guild should be able to show you an official membership card and we’re no exception, so please feel free to ask to see it.

Insurance backed guarantee

Shephard Building Services have also gone one step further with the option of an insurance backed guarantee, in conjunction with The Guild Of Master Craftsmen. This insurance backed guarantee is in addition to our own guarantee for all work we undertake. It covers you for a wealth of options, including, should we no longer be in business you would have sufficient funds to remedy any defects, should they occur. Guarantees can often have pitfalls, but we feel that our combined guarantees can offer peace of mind for a lifetime.
